Travel Insurance Over 50 with Medical Conditions

A group for people over 50 with pre existing medical conditions to demand a fairer deal on travel insurance

About this group

Travel insurance for Over 50's with pre existing medical conditions can be tricky and costly to arrange.

The reason for this is that travel insurance companies are very concerned by the risk of people needing expensive medical treatment while they're away, and then claiming on their holiday insurance. As a result, they either increase the price of cover for Over 50s with medical conditions, or decline to offer a travel insurance quote at all.

But the good news is that you can do something to improve this situation, by using the collective buying power you share with other Over 50's with medical conditions. We've already started work on this, and have negotiated a special offer on Over 50 Travel Insurance with medical conditions for you - get a quote, please join the group.

But the more people we have on board, the stronger the collective buying power of this group will become, and the better the offers will get. So if you know other members who like to travel, why not invite them to join the group too?

Hi Pauline, well done you - that sounds amazing. You can see all our deals on this link - and I would suggest you get your quote through the one named Explorer as they cover these types of things (you just need to add it on on the final screen!)! I hope that helps. Kind regards, Heidi

If you take statins for slightly raised collesteral and choose not to cover existing ills and you had a heart attack say in Egypt would you be covered

Hi Janet Thanks for getting in touch. It is difficult to separate those conditions, and therefore we would recommend including the condition, to ensure you are covered if the worst did happen. I have included the link to an article which goes into this a bit more thoroughly. The main point to take note of is this, "However, if a claim arises and the insurer discovers the condition when investigating the claim, they will deny payment on the grounds that the traveller was not fully honest when they bought." I hope that helps. Kind regards Heidi
