About Springer Spaniels

There are two kinds of Springer Spaniel – the working kind and the show kind. Both are very intelligent and affectionate, but some differences do exist.

The show line Springer is bred for its appearance and has a longer, thicker coat than the working line Springer. This clever, skilful breed can fit into many roles, including during hunting and as sniffer dogs. They are easy to train and very eager to please. They are also a very social breed and get on well with both children and other pets. They do need regular physical and mental exercise though, or they can become destructive.

Why buy insurance cover for your Springer Spaniel?

While they are considered a generally healthy breed of dog, some genetic disorders can occur, including hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, retinal dysplasia, ear infections and allergies. If your Springer Spaniel is affected by conditions like these, pet insurance can help with the costs of vet bills.

Why join the Springer Spaniel Insurance group?

Join this group to use the collective buying power you share with other Springer Spaniel owners to get a great deal on pet insurance for your loyal, trusty friend.

Exclusive 10% discount when you buy Lifetime Pet Cover insurance for your Springer

Great news: 10% discount on Lifetime Pet Cover insurance for Springer Spaniels.

There were three key reasons why we chose to work with Lifetime Pet Cover for your Springer:

  • Lifetime Pet Cover gives you the flexibility to choose between five levels of lifetime cover, with up to £10,000 veterinary fees per year.
  • Claims are paid directly to your vet so you never have to worry about the bill.
  • Cover includes dental treatment following illness or accident and complimentary treatment up to £1,000 if recommended by your vet.

If your pet is aged 7 years or older at the time of the claim, you will be required to contribute towards the costs of the veterinary fees. This amount will be 20% of the claims settlement for dogs aged 7 to 12 and 25% for dogs aged over 12, after the excess.
