About this group
Holidays can be stressful for sufferers of Crohn's Disease. Changes in diet and surroundings can seem like an impossible step. However, with the right treatment and a little extra planning, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to enjoy the life-affirming relaxation of a wonderful holiday, like anybody else.
It's important to consult your doctor before travel and to ensure that you take all of your medication and essentials with you. That way, all you have to worry about is whether you'll get the best sunbed by the pool.
We would also hate to see your trip ruined by unfair insurance premiums. Travel insurance prices for Crohn's Disease sufferers can seem unjustly high, and often offer a restricted cover only.
By joining our group you use the buying power you share with other Crohn's Disease sufferers to get a better, fairer deal on insurance.
Other great sources of information and support include Disabled World and Crohn's & Me, both of which have created special online travel-advice sections to help take the stress out of holidaying with Crohn's.

Is ulcerative colitis included in is group or is there another group for UC ? Thanks Pam
Hi Pam, it is on our agenda to launch a separate group for people with ulcerative colitis - I expect we will do that in the next 4-6 weeks. If you need to get a quote in the meantime, you are very welcome to use the link from the Crohn's group, and put the relevant information about your condition into the quote form at our partners' website. I hope that helps, and many thanks for getting in touch. Best wishes, Sam
