Overview of insurance cover provided by Together Mutual Home Insurance

Together Mutual offers three types of cover – Buildings Insurance, Contents Insurance and a combination Buildings and Contents policy. Within these categories, you can opt for Premier or Premier Plus.

Depending on which option you go for, Together Mutual’s Premier policies can include:

  • Buildings sum insured for £1,000,000
  • Contents sum insured for £75,000
  • Rent / Alternative accommodation cover for £50,000
  • £5,000,000 million Public Liability cover
  • £5,000 Trace and Access cover
  • A £100 Excess applies

Premier Plus policies include:

  • Buildings sum insured - unlimited
  • Contents sum insured - £150,000
  • Rent/Alternative accommodation cover up to £50,000
  • £5,000,000 million public liability cover
  • £7,500 Trace and Access cover
  • No Excess applies
  • Accidental Damage Cover
  • Annual European Travel Cover

Home Emergency cover is included as standard in all policies and we found it compares well to home emergency policies that cost more than £200 on their own.

All customers have access to a 24 hour UK-based claim line and legal helpline.

Personal Possessions cover is available as an optional extra. You can cover your property away from home (including abroad) and add cover for bicycles.

How much does home insurance with Together Mutual cost?

Home Insurance premiums are affected by many different factors, such as the type and level of cover you choose, your postcode, the value of your contents and whether you opt to take out optional extra cover.

However, to keep their cover affordable, Together Mutual charge no interest on monthly direct debit payments. If you take out combined Buildings and Contents Insurance, you will get a 10% discount.

Together Mutual will also pay up to £50 towards your switching costs when you switch your insurance to them (for example, covering a potential administration charge that another insurer might charge you for cancelling an existing policy).

If you are thinking of switching your existing home insurance provider, take a look at our Home Insurance for Switchers group for an exclusive 'beat your quote' offer.
