How to make a claim on Tesco Pet Insurance

There are two possible ways to claim from Pets at Home Pet Insurance.

If your policy reference starts with a number:

Step 1: Take your pet to the vet to be treated

Step 2: Download a claim form from Pets at Home’s website, or call them free of charge on 0800 298 7140 (lines are open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 9am-2pm).

Step 3: Fill in the relevant parts of your form and sign it

Step 4: Ask your vet to fill in the sections of the form relevant to them and sign it. Your vet will also need to attach any relevant invoices and your pet’s full medical history

Step 5: Pay your vet (unless you have an agreement with the vet that they will be paid directly by the insurance company)

Step 6: Send the form, along with all the relevant documents to:

Pets at Home Pet Claims Department

    BDML Connect Ltd

Step 7: Pets at Home will then assess your claim and send either you or your vet a cheque with the money owed. According to Pets at Home’s website, in normal circumstances, this takes up to 10 working day.

If you require further help call the claims team on 0800 011 1910.

If your policy reference starts with PHMG:

Step 1: Download the claim form from Pets at Home’s website

Step 2: Complete all sections of the form. Your vet, boarding kennel or other authority may be required to complete a section of the form as well. If this is the case, you will need to ask them to do this before sending the form through to Pets at Home. If you have any queries about this, you can call the claim team on 0344 209 0786.
