What optional extras are available from NatWest?

For an extra premium, NatWest customers can add guest cover (for someone other than a partner or child of the account holder), extended trip cover (past the agreed limits), cancellation extension (for high-value holidays), and hazardous activities cover.

Cover for business, golf and wedding is also available.

How much does travel insurance from NatWest cost?

These travel insurance policies are part of NatWest’s premium account packages, which cost the following:

  • Silver account - £12 per month

Does NatWest travel insurance cover medical conditions?

Some medical conditions are covered under NatWest’s policies, but premier customers with pre-existing medical conditions must visit NatWest’s travel insurance website or call 0345 6017 188 to answer a few questions about their health.

An extra premium may be needed to cover certain medical conditions.

Does NatWest cover people over 65, 70 and 80?

NatWest’s travel insurance is available up to the age of 70. Customers above that age must call to obtain cover and undergo a medical screening. An additional premium of £75 per year will apply.

NatWest customer reviews

As NatWest’s travel insurance is only available through their premium bank accounts, we couldn’t find reviews specifically for the service.

However, on choosewisely.co.uk, Natwest’s Platinum account received 2 out of 5 stars, based on 125 reviews.

Additionally, on a trip advisor board, a customer made the following comment about NatWest’s travel insurance service:

“I was very ill on the plane last May and ended up in Orlando Regional Medical Centre. Long story short my medical bills totalled £35k. I have my insurance with Natwest Advantage Gold and they paid for everything and rang me up on a number of occasions to check on my health and see if I needed anything else.”

As far as we could tell, that particular account is no longer available through Natwest, but the comment can be seen as representative of the service.
