Are you wearing purple today? You should be!
Today is Purple Day – a day dedicated to raising both awareness of the condition (and the stigma that still surrounds it) and funds for Epilepsy Action.
Around 87 people are diagnosed with epilepsy every day in the UK. While many lead normal lives with the help of medication, this condition can be fatal and there is no shortage of tragic stories, such as the recent one of Telford’s Ian Lam.
You can help by purchasing one of Epilepsy Action’s awesome wristbands, or texting Purple to 70300 to give £3.
We hear from many epilepsy sufferers that, in addition to dealing with the challenges their condition presents, they struggle to get affordable travel insurance for that much needed relaxing and energising holiday. We believe that is unfair and want to help change that, by making insurance fairer for everyone. If you have epilepsy and want to save money on your travel insurance, join our Travel Insurance for Epilepsy group.

We hope today manages to raise both awareness and plenty of money for this all-too-common conditions and that Britons paint the streets purple! (Figuratively that is, don’t go around graffiting stuff – that’s just vandalism…!).
Happy Purple Day!
