Summary

Lifetime Pet Cover is a newcomer to the pet insurance market. Founded by father-daughter team Robert and Louise Amphlett, this small provider launched in 2015.

Robert and Louise are pet owners themselves, and so have brought their own experiences as pet insurance customers to bear (they founded the company after a family pet became ill and they were disappointed with the response from their insurance provider). Their team also has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Overview of pet insurance cover provided by Lifetime Pet Cover

As the name suggests, Lifetime Pet Cover only offer lifetime pet insurance policies. There are five levels of cover for vet fees: £1,000, £2,000, £4,000, £6,000 and £10,000.

The policies also include: Dental treatment for accident and illness, complementary therapy up to £1,000, 3 months overseas cover and third party liability up to £1,000,000. There is no upper age limit for pet insurance through Lifetime Pet Cover.

Additionally, claims are paid directly to the vets (this is conditional on the vet’s consent), so the customer is not left out of pocket while the claim is being settled.

If your pet is aged 7 years or older at the time of the claim, you will be required to contribute towards the costs of the veterinary fees. This amount will be 20% of the claims settlement for dogs aged 7 to 12 and 25% for dogs aged over 12, after the excess.

Lifetime Pet Cover will not cover all breeds, it has a small list of exclusions, which you can see here.
