Just Travel Cover is a specialist travel insurance comparison site offering a range of products, specialising in cover for pre-existing medical conditions with no age limit.

It covers the majority of medical conditions, including cancer, heart conditions and travellers with a terminal diagnosis. Just Travel don’t ask for the names of medication or need a doctor’s certificate, it’s all managed by its own process.

One of the most important things to do before you travel with pre-existing medical conditions, is make sure you’re covered by insurance. That’s for medical cover if you require treatment abroad and all the standard protection you would expect like cancellation and baggage loss.

Just Travel’s service was launched in 2013 by Newton Lee Insurance and is run by a traditional insurance broker, Just Insurance Agents Ltd. The platform is supported by a large panel of travel insurance providers that specialise in travel insurance for medical conditions and older travellers.

Just Travel has a seven-day-a-week telephone-based insurance broking service and an online quote form. Cover includes winter sports and cruises.

What do customer reviews say?

The site hasn’t been live long so is yet to make an impact on online review sites. The only review on Trustpilot rates it 7.1 out of 10 and says: “Bought a couples annual European policy. Got a very good price compared to renewing with my existing insurers, despite declaring medical problems.”

What do the experts say?

Independent financial review site Defaqto rates the gold Holiday Angel policy listed on as 5 out of 5 stars. That means it is an “excellent product with a comprehensive range of features and benefits”.

Holiday Angel’s bronze and silver policies are both rated 2 out of 5, which means the “products offer a below average range of features and benefits”.
