Find out if Insurancewith made it into our list of the best travel insurance cover for medical conditions.
Insurancewith is one of Travel Insurance Facilities' (TIF) brands. In November 2018, The Times reported on a number of allegations made by customers against TIF.
TIF says that the allegations made by The Times are completely false. It has taken legal action and brought a defamation claim against the newspaper.
TIF states that it has long-campaigned for a better understanding of travel insurance, and will continue to do so. It refers to its educational campaigns at www.travelinsuranceexplained.co.uk as well as its dedicated philosophy and ethics information at www.tifgroup.co.uk/about/our-philosophies.

What optional extras are available from Insurancewith?
Insurancewith offers several extensions to all its policies, including: a golf extension, a fishing extension and a wedding extension.
How easy is it to get a quote from Insurancewith?
The screening process to get a quote online with Insurancewith is a little convoluted, but that is to be expected of a specialist insurer offering cover for pre-existing medical conditions.
Travellers who declare that they have a pre-existing condition must enter their height and weight for a BMI calculation and enter all the medication they take on a regular basis (if you are not taking any medication for your condition, you can skip this step).
The next step of the quote process is to declare your medical condition. You will then have to answer questions relating to that condition (such as whether it has caused you to be admitted to hospital in the last 12 months and how it affects your fitness levels). If you have more than one condition, you will have to add and answer questions about each condition separately.
Depending on how many medical conditions you have, the process will take a few minutes to complete online.
If your medical situation is complex, you might be advised you have to complete your quote process by calling Insurancewith’s specially trained medical screening team or by emailing your details to the team (someone will get back to you once you do).
You can also choose to contact the company by phone instead of obtaining a quote online if you prefer. Insurancewith can be reached on 0203 6427 581 and lines are open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat 9am-5pm.
How much does cover from Insurancewith cost?
The cost of travel insurance varies widely depending on the personal details of the person travelling, the duration of the trip and the destination.
As Insurancewith specialises in offering cover for pre-existing medical conditions, providing a useful quote prediction is even harder, as each traveller’s specific conditions are likely to affect the cost of the premium.
Does Insurancewith cover over 65s, 70s and 80s?
Multi-trip insurance only covers people up to the age of 74. However, the company’s single trip insurance policies have no age limit.
Insurancewith long stay and backpacker cover is only available to people up to the age of 55.
Does Insurancewith cover terminal conditions?
Insurancewith judges each case on its own merits and tries to offer insurance to everyone who applies. The company does offer insurance to those with a terminal prognosis, though they may restrict the destinations for travel to ensure the safety of those travelling.
Are discounts available for insurance from Insurancewith?
Yes:
- Discountonline.co.uk are offering a few different discounts for Insurancewith products, including 45% off site-wide, £25 off eligible orders and £45 off insurance
- Insurancewith’s own website is offering 15% off to customers who purchase their policy online. The company also offers discounts for couples, single parents and families (exact amounts for this were not specified on the Insurancewith website), and kids under 18 go free on family policies.
