Review: Globelink International travel insurance

Digby Bodenham By Digby Bodenham

Globelink International is an independent travel insurance brokerage. The initial aim of the company was to provide decent cover for young people backpacking their way around the world and for a large number of Australians and New Zealanders living in the UK who found it extremely difficult to buy cover from British insurers.

It now offers a range of travel insurance policies, including cover for travellers living in the UK or any other European Union countries plus Liechtenstein and Norway. Globelink insurance is also available to Australian, New Zealand and South African passport holders who reside in UK.

You can use the quote form on Globelink's site to find out how much your policy will cost.

What about travel insurance for people with pre-existing medical conditions?

Globelink covers a wide range of pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma as standard, so you don’t even have to contact the insurer if your pre-existing conditions are listed among the insured ones.

Globelink works with ASUA Medical Screening who will advise you whether your pre-existing medical condition can be covered, whether there will be an additional premium to pay or any other changes to the policy terms and conditions.
