Buildings cover offer insurance for fixtures and fittings, £10,000 worth of liability cover, personal liability cover, fire and smoke damage, theft and malicious damage, flooding, subsidence, vehicle impact, accidental damage to windows and sanitary ware, accidental damage to pipes and cables and alternative accommodation if the property becomes uninhabitable. Contents insurance protects your belongings from damage, fire and theft, with an option for accidental damage. Endsleigh offers new for old replacement if you make a claim, and allows you to build up a no claims bonus to help keep costs down. Specialist student-only contents insurance is what Endsleigh are perhaps best-known for. It offers accidental damage for TV, DVD players and stereo equipment as standard, plus 24-hour phone and laptop replacement and guaranteed repairs when using an approved repairer.
Endsleigh also have a ‘possessions’ insurance policy which intends to give you flexible cover if you would prefer to ensure just your high-value items (like gadgets, pedal bikes, musical instruments, jewellery or bags. They have a modular approach on their site that allow you to tick the covers you want. This may provide a cheaper route to insurance if you only really want one or two items covered.
Landlord insurance from Endsleigh is particularly comprehensive, offering automatic cover for fixtures and fittings, up to £5,000 for escape of water repairs and up to £25,000 for malicious damage by tenants and guests. Optional extras include legal advice cover, home emergency cover and contents cover for items supplied to the tenant.
