What types of insurance does CoverCloud offer?

CoverCloud offers three levels of travel insurance:

Bronze

Includes £10m for medical expenses, £5,000 for medical expenses within the UK, £1,000 for cancellation, £1,000 for cutting your trip short, £100 for missed departure, £1,000 for abandoning your trip, £1,000 for personal belongings and baggage (£150 limit per item/valuable), £200 for personal money (£200 cash limit or £25 for under 17s), £100 for passport and travel documents, £1m for personal liability and £2,500 for scheduled airline failure (annual multi-trip only). A £100 excess applies to some claims (£250 for medical expenses).

Silver

Includes £10m for medical expenses, £500 for emergency dental treatment, £10,000 for medical expenses within the UK, £75 per day hospital benefit (up to £1,500), £2,000 for cancellation, £2,000 for cutting your trip short, £500 for missed departure, £2,000 for abandoning your trip, £2,000 for personal belongings and baggage (£200 limit per item/valuable), £100 per 12 hours baggage delay (up to £400), £300 for personal money (£300 cash limit or £50 for under 17s), £100 for passport and travel documents, £10,000 for personal accident, £10,000 death benefit (£1,000 for under 17s), £10,000 for loss of limb or sight, £10,000 for permanent total disablement, £1.5m for personal liability, £30,000 for legal expenses, £25 per day for pet care (up to £250), £2,500 for end supplier failure and £2,5000 for scheduled airline failure (annual multi trip only). A £75 excess applies to some claims (£100 for medical expenses).

Gold

Includes £10m for medical expenses, £600 for emergency dental treatment, £15,000 for medical expenses within the UK, £100 per day hospital benefit (up to £2,000), £3,000 for cancellation, £3,000 for cutting your trip short, £1,000 for missed departure, £50 for every 12 hour delay (up to £350), £3,000 for abandoning your trip, £2,500 for personal belongings and baggage (£300 limit per item/valuable), £150 per 12 hours baggage delay (up to £450), £500 for personal money (£400 cash limit or £75 for under 17s), £300 for passport and travel documents, £20,000 for personal accident, £20,000 death benefit (£1,000 for under 17s), £2m for personal liability, £30,000 for legal expenses, £2,500 for end supplier failure and £2,5000 for scheduled airline failure (annual multi trip only). A £50 excess applies to some claims (including medical expenses).

For annual multi-trip policyholders, there is a limit of 31 max days per trip (17 days for winter sports cover). The maximum number of days under a single trip policy is 365.

What optional extras are available from CoverCloud?

For an extra premium, CoverCloud customers can add several extensions to their policy: winter sports, golf, business, wedding, natural catastrophe, cruise and gadget cover.

All extensions have 3 levels of cover to choose from (Bronze, Silver and Gold), so you can tailor the policy to your needs.

How much does travel insurance from CoverCloud cost?

The cost of travel insurance varies widely depending on the personal details of the person travelling, the duration of the trip and the destination.

However, to give you an indication of costs, we’ve obtained the following quotes in January 2018:

Single trip cover for a 35-year-old woman travelling to Spain for a week: Bronze - £10.50, Silver - £12.18, Gold - £18.03.

Annual worldwide (including the USA, Canada and the Caribbean) multi-trip cover for a couple in their 50s: Bronze - £102.03, Silver - £146.82, Gold - £164.01.

Does CoverCloud cover medical conditions?

Covercloud.co.uk does cover some medical conditions, but it is crucial that you declare any health conditions you suffer from fully when obtaining your quote. A decision will then be made as to whether cover can be offered to you and at what cost.

Does CoverCloud cover over 65s, 70s and 80s?

The maximum age for trips to all destinations is 90, for both single trip and annual cover. The maximum age for winter sports cover is 65.

Are discounts available for insurance from CoverCloud travel insurance?
