Review: Bennetts Bike Insurance

Summary
Bennetts was founded in the 1930s and initially provided general insurance services in the West Midlands. In the early 1980s, Bennetts became a specialist company, focusing solely on motorcycle insurance, and these days has more than 200,000 customers across the country.
In early 2015, the company was bought by Saga (the over-50s insurance specialist), though they continue to provide motorcycle insurance policies for people of all ages.

How much does Bennetts Motorcycle Insurance cost?
The cost of bike insurance from Bennetts varies widely, depending on factors such as the make and model of the bike, its age and condition, the postcode it is kept in and what it is predominantly used for. The personal details of the rider, such as their age, may also affect the cost of the policy.
Naturally, adding the optional extras, such as legal cover and personal accident, will push up the price of your bike insurance.

What do Bennetts Insurance reviews by customers say?
On reviewcentre.com, with 4.1 out of 5 stars and 82% of 1677 customers saying they would recommend Bennetts’ insurance; lastly (and perhaps not surprisingly), on their own website’s reviews section, Bennetts received a rating of 4.4 out of 5, based on 1880 reviews from the last 12 month (while it is unlikely they would give themselves a bad rating on their own website, it is important to remember that these are still real reviews from real customers).7
On the other side of these good reviews, there is a website called beware-bennetts-insurance-cancellation-policy.co.uk. Created by a disgruntled former customer, disappointed with the service he received from Bennetts Insurance, this site not only tells his story, but also collates accounts of other customers’ bad experiences.
What do Bennetts Insurance reviews from the experts say?
Defaqto – the independent reviewing body of financial products – gave Bennetts Motorcycle Insurance 5 out of 5 stars, making it ‘an excellent product with a comprehensive range of features and benefits’.
