The Opportunity

The finance team at Bought By Many adds incredible value to our business by keeping us focused on the right things and ensures we drive business outcomes that are in alignment with our values and strategic goals.

As our business continues to grow rapidly in the UK and internationally, so is our Finance team. We are looking for an FP&A Analyst to help us shape the FP&A function and improve our reporting, analytical and forecasting capability. This is an exciting new role, ready for an enthusiastic and motivated finance professional to make it their own and be at the heart of the strategy of a well-funded, growing global business.

You will report directly into the FP&A Manager, and be part of a small, supportive Finance team and you will work in close collaboration with all the other business functions.

Your Focus

  • Support the annual budget planning and quarterly reforecasting processes across the business.
  • Monitor revenue and expenditure results against forecast and prepare reports and work closely with business owners so that future income and cost trends are accurately forecasted - and issues or risks promptly escalated.
  • Develop new and maintain existing weekly and monthly business and KPI reporting and work in partnership across the business to enhance these reports and provide added insight.
  • Build and enhance our short and long term financial and cashflow models to support growth and ensure scalability of forecasting processes.
  • Automate and simplify processes, e.g., build automated dashboards in collaboration with the Data Team and explore new tools to enhance financial planning processes.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to determine internal customers’ needs and make improvements in response to feedback.
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues to promote the better decision making throughout the Company.
  • Provide ad hoc management information and undertake ad hoc assignments as required

What Leads to Success

Here are a few of the skills we are looking for in this position. Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box as it’s important for us to support you in your role and help you to develop along the way.

  • Comfortable in a fast moving, high growth environment
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented
  • Proactive and creative self-starter
  • Collaborative approach to work
  • Intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Ability to connect with teams with diverse skill sets and roles

What's Important

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics (or a related discipline) or we'll consider applications with previous relevant work experience.
  • You may have started your finance qualifications - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Some previous experience in financial modelling and working with data tools such as PowerBI, VBA / macros
  • Knowledge of financial data, and an understanding of how to interpret a P&L
  • Proficiency in MS office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, to perform in-depth analysis and to create clear reports
  • Experience working in insurance and /or fast-growing company would be a significant plus
