The Opportunity

Our business is growing fast, but our project teams need to be faster! You’ll be expected to exhibit the traditional Business Analyst skills and attributes while being able to adapt to Insurtech ways of working.  

As Business Analyst you’ll be responsible for driving the requirements definition for major change initiatives and smaller, more incremental changes. Having the BA instincts and ability is fundamental, coupled with the drive to deliver magic to our customers and work with our teams to improve our delivery of change.                                                                                                                                                               

Your Focus

  • Liaising with key stakeholders to elicit and understand business needs, data, outcomes and requirements.
  • Devising innovative and practical solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Supporting the prioritisation and delivery of small, incremental changes across all of our Products.
  • Documenting business requirements and define acceptance criteria for testing.
  • Using business analysis techniques proportionately to get to a ‘good enough’ design to progress a project/task.
  • Supporting the definition and documentation of customer journeys and operational processes, and ensuring business readiness for the changes.
  • When appropriate, supporting Product Managers in defining the strategic vision and in the delivery of the key targets and metrics.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of short-term initiatives while understanding how they feed into the ‘big picture’.
  • Providing support on larger scale projects and programmes through detailed requirements and scenarios.
  • Contributing to the on-going development of BBM best practise for business analysis and change.

What's Important

  • Business Analyst or Product Owner experience is a must.
  • You'll bring an understanding of change and delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Kanban & Waterfall.
  • Awareness of software development terminology and practices.
  • Understanding of commercial implications on projects, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in fast-moving, start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Experience in Personal Lines insurance and platforms would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiar with relevant project tools such as JIRA, ClickUp et.al.
