Job summary

We are looking for an Engineer to contribute to owning our production (and other) environments. You will enjoy learning about and using new SaaS services, building tooling and monitoring services, automating repetitive tasks. You’ll have development skills to build integrations, dashboards, transporters and transformers.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Own and constantly improve our production (and all other) environments including: deployment, performance, resilience and information security.
  2. Monitor production environments to spot problems before they arise, jump in and fix them if you can, or know who to get involved if you can’t.
  3. Conduct performance analysis of productions systems using tools such as Sentry & New Relic.
  4. Keep up with new SaaS services, techniques and tools, migrate our infrastructure forward as these develop.
  5. Contribute to R&D through our hackathon weeks.

What you bring

Knowledge

  • Deep Systems Administration knowledge, including AWS, Heroku, Databases and Data Integrity.
  • Development experience building database driven web application.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages: Javascript, Ruby & Python as a preference.
  • Hands on experience of testing automation, at both and Application and API level. Using tools such and Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, etc.
  • Experienced working as part of the SDLC in an SRE capacity and with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Experience conducting Performance and Security reviews would be beneficial.

Experience and qualifications

  • Previous commercial experience of looking after production systems, with large user bases.
  • A relevant degree is preferred but we're just as happy to hear from folks with relevant work experience
