Job summary

We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to support our growing claim's function which currently spans across the UK, Sweden and the US but will expand to more territories as the business evolves and explores new opportunities. We're driving unprecedented change in insurance and have doubled our revenues annually for the last four years with more ambitious growth still to come.

As a function Claims is something that we have begun to "insource" to ensure that we can deliver the best end-to-end experience for our customers. Supporting this function, from a financial perspective, is key to achieving this and ensures that we able to successfully scale our business - not just in our existing markets but also in ones we are yet to launch in! This Is a fantastic role for someone looking to learn too, as you'll have plenty of scope for both personal and professional development within our Finance team as well as through the wider Operations team.

Your key responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of claims bordereaux reports. (This Is currently done in Excel, and we are looking to migrating this to an online tool.)
  • Managing the migration of claims data to our new online data repository.
  • Reconciliation of claims fund bank statements in NetSuite as well as the various claims control accounts.
  • Supporting the Operations team (including outsourced teams in UK and Sweden) on general customer payment queries (e.g., payments status, bounces, recoveries etc.)
  • Supporting the various Tech squads in driving improvements in our claims processes.
  • Processing Claims payments for Sweden.  (This task will soon be automated however is currently manually processed within the Finance team.)
  • Processing ex-gratia claim payments.

  • You have an amazing eye for detail and don't like leaving loose ends!

  • You’re self-motivated and the sort of person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced culture.

Experience and qualifications

  • It's essential that you are comfortable and have experience reconciling large data sets.
  • Experience using and administrating systems – with focus on data ownership and maintaining data integrity.
  • A background in Insurance (even more so in Claims!) is beneficial. Ideally, you'll be used to working in a fast-paced environment like ours.
  • You'll be 'tech minded', very comfortable using Excel and competent to learn more.
  • Basic accounting knowledge is a bonus.
