Job summary

As our business grows and diversifies, so is our Finance team. We are looking for a FP&A Analyst to help us deliver robust reporting and improve the planning processes.   This role is key to maintaining the quality of internal revenue and expense analysis both, on retrospective and forecasting basis to support management decision making.  

The scope of the role is global, as we track the performance of key metrics across all markets: UK, SE, US and it may involve analyses for markets where Bought By Many does not yet have a presence.

 The role reports into the FP&A Manager and is expected to work in close collaboration with other members of the Finance team (e.g., the Group Financial Controller) and all the other business functions.

Your key responsibilities

  • Produce weekly dashboards to be presented by CEO during company calls
  • Develop and manage monthly reporting for the Senior Leadership Team, with focus on:
  • Operating expenses by department
  • Persistency analysis by country and product
  • Operations - customer service and claims metrics by country
  • Analyse management information versus budget or reforecast, including providing commentaries and variance analysis to help measure progress.
  • Identify areas that require special focus in context of materiality to enable correction of potential misstatements of data
  • Identify and build new automated dashboards in collaboration with the Data Team

What you bring

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of financial data, you should be able to understand and interpret a P&L
  • Understanding of data, Ideally you'll have worked within Insurance or Fin-Tech
  • You should have a strong capability in Excel, and able to perform in-depth analysis to create reports and consolidates information.
  • You may have used other data visualisations tools like VBA, SQL or PowerBI.
  • Ideally, you'll hold a degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics, or a related discipline to this role.  (We appreciate that not everyone will have the opportunity to study at University, so relevant commercial experience from a similar role Is absolutely fine.)
